Besides being the biggest National Park in Croatia, Plitvice [plîtʋitse] is also the oldest National Park in Southeast Europe. But this is not what makes it stunning. It's pure beauty will take your breath away. 16 lakes connected with charming waterfalls, peaceful areas interrupted by powerful water flows will make your day unforgettable. The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue - so prepare your cameras, clean your memories...
Rastoke village, also known as "small Plitvice lakes" is the same natural phenomena, but in smaller size and settled in 17th century. With its 22 renewed and running watermills it's a lovely example of human and nature coordination.
